My Husband and I took a month long road trip back in 1994. We traveled through 11 states including the ones you mention. NM is great! We enjoyed seeing the architectural design and experiencing the culture. If you get a chance to travel further north, you should get over to South Dakota and Wyoming. Breathtaking!
